Leah Noelle Grandmaison
With 6 years clinical experience in a medical laboratory as a phlebotomist, a strong fine arts background, and some badly over plucked eyebrows, cosmetic tattoo held strong appeal.
I learned the art of Permanent Makeup in Victoria in 2009 at CEP Dermablend. The following year, I furthered my education in Permanent Makeup, including Microblading, Paramedical Tattoo for Nipples and Areola, Scar Camouflage, Skin Revision (removals of skin imperfections) and Skin Needling, at Biotouch Canada.
One year later I was invited to work at Biotouch as an associate technician, and later as assistant instructor. In 2014, I was offered a position by the esteemed plastic surgeon, Dr. Sheina Macadam who specializes in breast reconstruction. This led me to specialize and train further in paramedical and areola tattoo at the Micropigmentation Centre in Toronto in 2016. While there, I also completed Colour Through the Skin, Advanced Microblading and Slope Brow classes.
In the spring of 2017 Dr. Macadam and I flew to New Orleans where I had the unique and fascinating opportunity to learn advanced techniques with the legendary areola tattooist, Vinnie Meyer for two days. An informative experience I’ll never forget.
More recently in early 2019 I completed certification in Dermaplaning, refreshed training in Micro-needling and added a Skin Classic machine to my repertoire.
